How to Get a Friend to Shut Up While You are Watching Television

I have a friend that just loves to talk while he is watching television. We have tried to shut him up on several occasions by asking him gently to shush. However, he can't help himself except to keep on talking through the movie every single time that he comes over. I one time had to ask him to leave because he would not keep quit. It is very distracting to have someone screaming at the television set while you are trying to understand what is being shown to you on the tube.

In order to get your friend to shut up, you are going to have to do certain things differently. For one, I take complete control of the remote control. When I find my friend annoying me, I will pause the television set every single time and give him a stare. He always says, "I'm sorry." The good news here is that he is talking a lot less during the TV show and I am training him to be more courteous to those that are watching as well. His mouth seems to have closed a lot more now that he is being trained.

I had to stop and realize that getting someone to do what you want them to do is all about training. It is like training a dog really. If you want your dog to stop pulling you on the leash while you are walking them, then you are going to have to stop each time that they pull. Training them is a task that takes time and effort. When you try and take control of your life, you begin to see yourself in a new way. Life begins to take on new meaning and you begin to see how your life is changing each day.

Television is a wonderful time for you to understand which way your life is headed. You can easily find more opportunities for growth as each day passes. It has taken me several months to train my friend, but it has gotten a lot easier now. I realize that he is a good friend, but very emotional when it comes to watching television. He thinks of the characters on television as being able to hear what he is saying. He will stand up and tell the actor to shut up or yell excessively. I think that he has a lot of emotion going through his body each day and that is probably why he acts this way. It's interesting to see how emotional a show can get for some people.

Reality Television Shows and Their Excitement to Viewers

The craze of reality television has captured the hearts of millions of people all over the world. Shows like Gene Simmons Family Jewels and The Housewives of Atlanta and Beverly Hills has taken on new meaning in people's lives. It is interesting how Americans identify with these people and they don't even know them. You can often hear people identifying themselves with the people on the reality television shows. Some people might say, "Did you see the Housewives of Atlanta last night? I can't believe that Nene did that." They speak of the cast members as though they were their friends.

Reality television actually brings excitement into people's lives on a step by step basis. Television is something that we can all enjoy. It helps us to see that we can overcome our past obstacles and change the way that we think about life through watching other people. Sometimes I find myself watching a lot of television each day. There are so many reality TV shows that you can get hooked very easily. I once watched a reality television show for hours and found myself slacking off at work. I think that television is good for entertainment and leisure. However, you should spend most of your time working, praying and spending time with your spouse. Living your life everyday according to your own wanting is the best way to live a life.

Reality television is so exciting that you may want to look at life differently in many regards. Life is fun and exciting because you have to look at life in new ways. When you look at yourself in the mirror, you have to ask yourself what your life purpose is. If you are trying to live it through other people, then you are going to find yourself getting depressed every single day. Life will always have its ups and downs.

If you watch a lot of television, then you will see that it can teach you more about yourself. It brings out a lot of emotion inside of you. Sometimes when you are watching television, you may be asking yourself why you are doing this or that. You may wonder why life is hurting you in such a way. I think that reality TV can change your life if you are the type of person that views the cast as people of change. I know that many reality television stars have changed my life for the better. I usually will watch them and say that I do not want to be anything like them because they are down right obnoxious. It is depression to see a person on television acting like a fool. Sometimes its hard to watch people destroying their lives on television. There is a myth in the world today that says that reality television is a way to break up a marriage. Many reality TV stars have gone through difficult divorces because of the stress of television life. However, not all of the stories and events that you hear about are true. Everyone can go through a divorce. This is why we have a 50% divorce rate in America today. We cannot blame television for that. We must take everything one step at a time and make events happen in our lives little by little. Everything must happen for a reason on a step by step basis. Only God can teach us how to live our lives properly and according to his plans for us. Praise God that we have a savior in heaven that cares for us. Jesus is everywhere and he loves us!
