The web sites are basically the same, free reading. At first glance one would only be forced to jump at this offer and why not? Free sounds very affordable and even fun. Having a real live psychic read you? Thats great and it will cost, zero. What a deal. Black black no trade back. What happens after the free reading? This is the reason the word free needs to be explored a wee bit better when it comes to the business of psychic reading. The main purpose of any business is to make money.
Free online psychic chat offers are marketing tools designed to increase traffic to the sites that offer them, in hopes of acquiring new customers. It is as simple as that. While it is helpful to be able to have a free short reading with a real psychic in a chat environment, those "free" offers are not what keep the sites operational or the psychics paid and fed. Those things require money, which is made through paying customers like you.
Though the credit card step meets a number of requirements and needs for the psychic service, the ultimate goal of these sites is to entice you to become a regular paying customer. Acquiring your credit card details is one of the first steps in that process. Free is free and they do give you one free psychic reading and for that they must be applauded. Regardless of the motive behind the offer, the first reading is free. Now you may be asked for your credit card information before or after the reading and that is usually a non rescript affair. I would not go as far as saying that the business of online psychic chat is geared only at the object of making money, but it is a fine grey line, blurred at best.
Now I appreciate psychic abilities as the other guy and gal but the business end of the free offers smacks of cheapness. In a business already inundated with scam alerts and charlatans, does the owners of these web sites think the public does not realize what it is they are trying to accomplish with the free pitch? Maybe they can see the ducks in their crystal balls and leave the credit card information survey report field, grayed out. Regardless of the factors involved, the world of psychic chats is a very interesting one and slightly amusing. For those who are staunch believers it is a serious way of life that must be respected.
No one has the right or should feel that they can openly blame the psychics working at these online sights. They are usually hard working people who feel that they can make a living reading people with their gift. Leave it at that. Most of the psychics I have spoken to are genuinely sincere people with a giant heart. Let's not throw eggs at them while we proudly stomp around on our proverbial soap boxes. I am a freelance writer and some would argue not to far off from a psychic. Whatever. I have no gift, the only thing I can see the computer screen and wait, hold on i see a keyboard in my future, well the clients are screaming for more copy more copy, thanks for listening.
